I spotted a Hero XPulse 200 at the Reeth Show — it’s a 200cc adventure bike. Made in India by Hero, a massive motorcycle manufacturing company, the Pulse is a well‑proven machine. They sold 40,000 of them last year, and at £2,500 it offers incredible value for anyone wanting a small adventure or trail bike.
Bike Magazine tested it and gave it an excellent write‑up. It even did well in their Machine of the Year review, beating loads of more expensive models.

The bike has a superb specification. I’ve taken the XPulse details straight from the Hero website — have a look yourself, it’s impressive! Oil‑cooled 4‑stroke, 4‑valve OHC single, 199.6cc. Power 18.9 BHP, torque 17.35 NM. Electric and kick start. Seat height 825mm. Curb weight 159kg.
The instruments, as shown below, are bang‑up‑to‑date LCD digital, with Bluetooth and turn‑by‑turn navigation.
