The Zoe 200 — Ride Update & Fundraising Success
On Sunday 16th August, fourteen riders from Yarm Motorcycling Club set off from Conyers School Car Park at 10am for The Zoe 200, our charity ride in support of Zoe’s Place, the hospice providing specialist care for babies and children under six.
What began as a 200‑mile target turned into something even better — around 225 miles covered, dry weather throughout, and a fantastic day of riding, community spirit, and generosity.
Route Highlights
Our first stop was Rookhope Kitchen, where riders enjoyed a hearty breakfast courtesy of Yarm Motorcycling Club — topped off with a very welcome charity donation from Rookhope themselves.
From there, we headed north through:
Allenheads
Haydon Bridge
Walwick
Housesteads
The afternoon brought tea at The Nook, giving everyone a chance to pause and reflect on what the ride meant — for the club, for the community, and for Zoe’s Place.
With generous donations from club members, families, friends, and supporters, we had already passed £1,600 by the time we reached The Nook.
The final leg took us home along the A68, tired but proud of what had been achieved.
Fundraising Total (So Far!)
Thanks to everyone’s support, The Zoe 200 has now raised:
£1,833
And we’re not finished yet — the BSB Assen VIP ticket auction closes on 12th September and currently stands at £400, which will be added to the total.
A Huge Thank You
To every rider, donor, supporter, café, and business who contributed — thank you.
